How to transfer design to your art surface. *You must purchase your own graphite transfer paper separately. I like Saral and Masters’ Touch white graphite paper. You can buy these on Amazon or your local art supply store.

1) Place the transfer paper in between the printed pattern and your art surface with the graphite side down. Use matte paint as a base coat for better transfers.

2) Trace the pattern along the lines with a pencil or ball point pen and the pressure of the pen will push the graphite onto the surface.

3) Once design is transferred, use the shapes as guides to dot, swoosh, and drop your paint in different patterns to complete the design.

4) After paint is dry, remove the transfer lines with an eraser and seal with a varnish.

Design can be transferred to stones, canvas, art board, teapot planters, wood items, basically any surface that will accept graphite.
