I would like to paint a mandala on a piece of unfinished pine wood furniture. Can you offer some suggestions? Its a small vanity, approx 33 wide by about 12 deep.I was thinking one mandala on the
top and two small mandalas on each of the tiny drawer faces.
Do you have any suggestions for painting on the wood? Do I need a base paint? Please advsie

Hi Devora! You can use acrylic paint on unfinished pine. With furniture it’s important to protect the paint after you’re done so be sure to use a varnish for protection. If it’s going to be on the top of the piece you may want to use a thicker furniture varnish to protect the painting from scratches. Have fun!
